My Sunday mornings are no longer filled with reading the newspapers. Now I read Design Scouting. Today I listened to Ed Yong, made butter in my standing mixer and was inspired by
the marbled ceilings for my own marbling work. I also was taken away from the depressing news and found a lot of hope. Thank you Abbey for such a gift!
I love getting away from routine with my kids. It truly changes the drudgery of chores and to-do lists, and might even allow us to get to know them a little better. And omg the butter rug sparks joy 🤩
Great post! I’m fascinated by that garden caddy. I recently moved from “the woods” to a suburban home (no deer to eat everything I plant!) and this seems like such a practical, well-designed helper. Sounds like you had some great conversations with Alex. When my kids were teens, I found the most revealing conversations happened when I was driving. Maybe part of it is the lack of eye contact?
It's so true (the power of getting away) but I forget it - sometimes the lift feels just too big! I'm working on doing this more!
yay! (and we need to do a garden tour of YOUR garden!) oxoxoxox
