Aw, thanks for the mention, Abbey! criticalEYEfinds is a true internet treasure; would love to be a fly on the wall as they are sourcing all of those incredible items. I thought the clam-digging photo looked like a lost piece of modern art. And I'm so glad you liked those hooks ... I use s-hooks to hang stockings on the mantel, and I love the idea of swapping in these wild gorpy ones next year.

Omg I will trust you forever after today’s “just trust me” link - in a world of despair, this was a much needed reprieve! 😂

Also a shameless plug: having seen your delight for all-things-neon, combined with your excitement about today’s S-hooks, I think you would love this local-to-me business that makes incredibly sturdy (made for our river-culture town!) and just overall amazing bags/pouches/totes: Buena Goods out of Salida, CO. Here’s a link if you’d like to check them out: https://www.buenagoods.com/

i loved the link to 'eat, little bird' by a swiss-australian cook based in Zurich. I also went to Anandamayi Arnold site and now want to give a party base around the watermelon surprise ball. My grandmother always gave dinner parties that had a large covered china bowl filled with small wrapped gifts for each person that was on a streamer that one would pull at the end of dinner. I have always wanted to emulate her dinner parties and the watermelon surprise ball would be a way to carry on her tradition.

I love this idea! I remember the Christmas "pulls" with the presents suspended above the dining table....

I just remembered the name of the centerpiece- Jack Horner Pie which as a child I thought was Jack Corner Pie.

Can confirm that S hooks are great for coralling tote bags though mine are nowhere near this cute. Also, on the subject of tote bags...I gasped about your tote into the mud. Sending condolences.

Those crepe paper fruits!! How are you expected to just...open that!?!? (Like, psychologically. I'm sure the physical act is logical.) They're so pretty.

Unfortunately I am a giant bedside table person because I must have access to 3-5 hobbies at all times, but those little green one are so so good.

Can reply that the tote bag contents into the mud was a grim moment for sure! Thanks for the solidarity! And I will say that I have not brought myself to unwrap the tangerine, much to my 8 year olds horror. I suspect one day I'll come home and he will have given into temptation ...
