Sleep = life! I too was like "how was I surviving?!" so happy you found something that works for you! In regards to Trade Secrets - I was thinking of sending out a note when the tickets open up and if there was enough interest - planning at Design Scouting Dinner the night before or the the night after.....
I love the leather inserts. Thank you for finding them. Also, love the garden hacks, I will buy a bunch and marble them. I have planted my first row of dahlias in North Carolina and I am waiting for them to sprout. I don't have bunnies but a herd of deer that I must protect them from so your baskets are w wonderful idea. I am hoping that I will not have to dig them up in the fall if they can withstand the summer's humidity.
Ordered the mesh bag instantly! I’ll use it for sunscreens, since everyone in my family seems to prefer a different one, and it’s become a lot to corral! I also see an order for those solar lights in my future, since we have a puppy and I could use some extra light during the last potty break of the night. As usual, thank you for scouting such great finds for the rest of us!
I'm in year 2 of my dahlia journey, and I still sort of can't believe I'm a dahlia person because they just feel so fussy, but here I am. Obsessed. I buy tubers from a local urban flower farm, and also this year's happy new discovery was Clara Joyce flowers. (Watch their newsletter for coupon codes and know that they send CLUMPS of tubers instead of single tubers which sets off the fair but high shipping cost. I ordered four tubers and ended up being able to divide and plant 15. Very generous.)
Christina! omg, I never thought in a million years I would be a dahlia person - from the outside it seems so labor intensive and fiddly - LOL - a friend gave me some extras last year and now I get it. Off to go down the Clara Joyce rabbit hole - thank you!
Good luck on your dahlia journey! I’m in year 3 in my 1200 sq. ft. cutting garden and this is the first year that my trusty method of overwintering dahlias failed (they all rotted due to the warm wet spring humidity in my garage). I suppose it’s blessing in disguise though because I’ve bought some new varieties to play with (that Blonde is tempting me though and I have absolutely no more space!!!). I started half of them indoors this spring to get a jump start! Might be a helpful approach next year in the bunny battle!
Hi Jessica! ohhh 1200 sq feet cutting garden .. that sounds AMAZING! I was able to overwhinter about 1/3 of mine - but I was THRILLED that I got any to come back!
I feel you about the rabbits! Gophers took out sooooo many of my plants and now I'm having to re-strategize. Turns put the Bay Area is infested with them.
Ahh, that garden—I miss it! And I miss you; hope we get a garden walk someday soon.
Magnesium solved my 3:30 am wake ups too! I was shocked at how well it works and now am shocked at how I functioned with a 3:30 wake up every night.
Those solar lights are so good looking and some day I’ll get my act together to do the whole Trade Secrets tours and shopping. It sounds like a dream
