A huge wicker basket to hide the clutter, a surefire gift idea, and the dahlias have arrived at Costco
Plus, an electric blue tote for spring
It was light out when I left work tonight. The snow in the parking lot was melting, and there was a springiness to the whole moment that lifted me up. Earlier today, I asked for and got help with something I’d been creatively blocked on, and I felt 10,000 times lighter. Tim bought my favorite truffle cheese and my favorite snack at Guido’s, and then we ate them for dinner (snack dinner!). I hope some similarly small joys find you in your day today.
A. The Tale of the Castle Mice looks charming - I love the illustrations.
B. A pal texted me that the dahlia bulbs have arrived at Costco! (The in-store prices are lower than online!)
C. This rabbit wax seal pendant was a birthday gift from a dear friend - I was so touched. It has a lovely silky weight. There are so many to choose from - any of them would make a very thoughtful gift.
D. These Alabaster Stone Lights seem so glowy and very calming!
E. I ordered this electric blue tote this morning in a fit of longing for spring, for color, for a fresh tote!
F. This pouch made me laugh and laugh. Screenshots!
G. The struggle to find the right length socks for my current rotation of boots that will also keep my toes warm is real. I wore knee-high Smartwool ski socks today and had warm toes, but felt sort of like my legs were (this is gross) sausages all day because of how tight those socks were around my calves. These roll top socks might do the trick?
H. A friend txted me this neon charmer.
I. To my secret shame, when faced with a faucet, I never intuitively know which side is hot and which is cold. Partly, this is because various “hot” faucets are set differently in my house (sometimes hot is down, sometimes up, sometimes left, sometimes right). And then, to add insult to injury, the faucets at work are all different, too. These stickers are going to save me a lot of guesswork.
J. I bought this big basket from Zara Home to hide the returns pile and have been really happy with the size (big!) and quality.
I occasionally include affiliate links - typically to products from Etsy, Ebay, 1st Dibs, Bookshop, and yes, sometimes, Amazon. Affiliate links are bolded so you know when I’ve used one. Our most consistent political power comes from exercising our values via our wallets. I’m always thinking about cost, accessibility, and the planet. It’s a work in progress.
