Hi! I’m Abbey Nova. I hold a Master’s in Design History from Parsons, began my career at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and have been sharing design finds since I started writing the blog Abbey Goes Design Scouting in 2008. Over the years, my work has been featured in Page Six Magazine, Cup of Jo, and Design*Sponge, and my writing has appeared in The Magazine Antiques, Anthology Magazine, and the Journal of the Archives of American Art, among others. Today, I serve as the Executive Director of the Sharon Historical Society & Museum, and I write this best-selling Substack newsletter dedicated to history, meditations on nature, and the joys (large and small) of being human.

I’ve learned that the most meaningful spaces are built over time, and I believe in letting relationships unfold naturally. I invite you to explore this newsletter at your own pace. Read the free posts, follow along on Instagram and Pinterest, or click through the weekly newsletter’s shopping links (where I may earn a small commission on any link that is bolded to let you know it includes an affiliate link).

If you find yourself returning here, opening my newsletters with anticipation, and discovering ideas for your home and life, consider whether a paid subscription works for you. But, like any good design decision, there’s no rush.

Here are a few of my favorite newsletters so far:
